From the numbered edition of 290 impressions Original colour lithograph, circa 1950, showing a Belle Époque scene in the Bois de Boulogne: a moustached gentleman on horseback, an elegant woman in a long blue riding habit, and a seated lady with a parasol, among slender trees — a recurrent theme in Van Dongen’s celebration of the fashionable Paris of the riders and “cocottes” of the Bois.
