An original lithograph by Wifredo Lam created as the New Year’s greeting of the Erker-Galerie in St. Gallen — a totemic hybrid figure in the artist’s characteristic Afro-Cuban Surrealist idiom, brushed in black over a textured ground. Lam, like Tàpies, Hartung, Dorazio and Chillida, was among the international masters published by Franz Larese and Jürg Janett’s renowned Erker-Presse.
