Dimensions : Sheet 24 × 17.5 cm (9.4 × 6.9 in.)

Condition : Paper toned overall, warmer at the extremities. A small dark spot in the left margin at mid-height, a second smaller spot in the lower left quadrant of the margin. Faint pale vertical striations in the lower part of the sheet, in the printing. Colours fresh and evenly applied, pinks and blue-greens well preserved. Sheet edges straight, no tears or losses visible. Unframed.

Period : Later deluxe issue of the special number of La Plume devoted to Mucha (n° 197, first published 1 July 1897).

Description : Plate from the deluxe issue, in which the plate was added, unlike the standard edition. The heart-shaped cartouche left in reserve follows the format of Mucha’s menu and programme designs of the same years.
