Condition : Paper lightly toned overall. A few scattered minute specks in the lower margin. Margins clean, corners square, edges straight, no tears, losses, creases or repairs visible. Colours strong, the blacks dense and the ochres and yellow-greens unfaded. Not signed by hand, not numbered. Unframed.
Published by Éditions Artistiques et Documentaires, Paris, and executed by the Jacomet workshop, whose stencil-based facsimile process was widely used from the 1930s to reproduce paintings and gouaches. Buffet visited New York in 1958; the skyline compositions of that year mark his shift to large urban subjects.
