Original lithograph printed in an edition of 60, probably by Pierre Chave in Vence, who printed several original lithographs by Van Dongen in this period; a Chave label recorded on another impression supports this. The subject is in the spirit of the most reductive plate of the album “Femmes” (1927), but the drawing is entirely new: proportions, fan, hair and contours all differ. A Spanish dancer behind her fan, the eyes alone touched with ochre.
