One of the most beautiful covers created by Mucha for this celebrated Art Nouveau artistic and literary magazine, published periodically in Paris. Very scarce in this exceptional state of preservation, highlighted with gold ink.

Includes illustrations by Léandre, J.-P. Laurens, Bac, Balluriau and others, with texts in French.

Size of the sheet : 42 x 31 cm / 16.5 x 12.2 in.

Condition: Good overall condition, with some staining, discoloration stains and minor losses consistent with the aging of the paper. The cover image remains very clean, with bright colors and intact gold printing. Unframed.

Mucha designed four different covers for Au Quartier Latin, published annually for the Mid-Lent Carnival season. In this issue, he depicts a parade of students at the feet of the Queen of the Carnival, crowned and wearing an elaborate cloak adorned with the coat of arms of Paris.
