Plate from the portfolio Hommage à Arthur Köpcke, published in 1979 by Den Danske Radeerforening af 1853, Copenhagen, in memory of the Fluxus pioneer Arthur “Addi” Köpcke (1928–1977); copies are held by Harvard Art Museums, mumok Vienna and The Broad, Los Angeles. Ben, the Nice-based master of the written word and pillar of European Fluxus, turns a barb once addressed to him by Köpcke into a self-deprecating memorial in his unmistakable écriture — complete with an original photograph mounted on the board.
