Charles Loupot is considered, alongside A. M. Cassandre, Paul Colin, and Jean Carlu, as one of the great innovators of the modern advertising poster. This work is a typical example of Art Deco graphic design applied to advertising, combining bold forms with a highly stylized composition. The image is often described as one of Loupot’s most cubist compositions, reflecting the modern visual language of the 1920s. Original examples of this poster are very rare on the market, making it particularly sought after by collectors.
