Plate 7 from the posthumous portfolio published by Ed. Strache in 1920, two years after the artist’s death. This collotype reproduces the celebrated self-portrait of 1913, one of the most iconic self-images of Viennese Expressionism. The raw, nervous line work and arresting direct gaze exemplify Schiele’s unflinching psychological intensity.
