Original lithograph on BFK Rives paper, used as the New Year’s greeting card of the Erker-Galerie und Verlag (Franz Larese & Jürg Janett), St. Gallen. Inscribed “Wir wünschen ein gutes neues Jahr” and “Originallithographie von Hans Hartung.”
Signed in the plate “Hartung,” lower right (not hand-signed). Not numbered.

Condition: Very good condition, strong blacks and contrasts; central vertical fold as issued. Unframed.

An original lithograph by Hans Hartung created as the New Year’s greeting of the Erker-Galerie in St. Gallen — the gestural black calligraphy of brushed strokes and scraped lines characteristic of the artist. Hartung, like Dorazio, collaborated closely with the renowned Erker-Presse of Franz Larese and Jürg Janett.
