Dimensions :
+ Size of the sheet : 20,4 x 26,3 cm / 8 x 10.3 in.

Condition : In fair condition with some folds, stains, tears in the border margins. The paper, trimmed, is slightly yellowed. Some pieces of tape on the back, not visible from the front. Well-inked otherwise, with great detailed lines. Not framed.

The first edition printed in Antwerp around 1585, prior to the printing of the address title “Antverpiae, apud Joannem Gallacum” published by Galle, comprised 43 unnumbered plates all engraved by Galle with a dedication page to Cosimo de Medici. After this edition the series was expanded to 104 plates engraved by A. Collaert, J. Collaert, C. Galle I and C. de Mallery.
