Born in Lausanne, Scheurer was a founding member of the Impact group and held a federal fine arts grant in 1969, 1970 and 1971. His work is held by the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts, Lausanne, the Musée Jenisch, Vevey, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, São Paulo.
