Signed on the plate lower right margin.

L’Estampe Moderne’s blind stamp on the bottom right corner.

Dimensions:
+Size of the sheet: 41 x 31 cm / 16 x 12 in.

Condition: In overall good condition, with soft handling creases, some minor stains, and some slight discoloration at the edges. A small tear on the right margin. The top right corner of the paper is slightly folded. Image very clean otherwise.

Not unlike the Maitre de L’Affiche series, L’Estampe Moderne was a portfolio printed between 1897-98, published by Imprimerie Champenois, Paris, contained 24 monthly portfolios, with four original lithographs in each. Each was commissioned only for this series.

As well as Mucha, some of the contributing artists included Rhead, Meunier, Ibels, Steinlen, Willette and Grasset.
