Condition: Good condition. Light diagonal crease in the lower right margin, below the signature. Slight waviness of the sheet. Matted and framed under glass in a wooden frame with gilt fillets; not examined out of the frame.

Plate 84 of the Bible, the suite of 105 etchings commissioned by Ambroise Vollard and published by Tériade in 1956. In 1958 Tériade issued 100 impressions on Arches, hand-coloured with watercolour, initialled and numbered by Chagall, printed by Raymond Haasen. The scene illustrates 1 Kings 17: Elijah bringing the son of the widow of Zarephath back to life.
