Description: A genre figure — “the wine drinker” — painted in watercolour directly in the collector’s guest book. If by Robert Bassi (b. Exincourt, Doubs, 1931) — a Franche-Comté painter noted for his still lifes and landscapes, especially wintry atmospheres, who exhibited widely abroad and is represented in several museums (Ovar, Audincourt, Dison) — the attribution is to be confirmed, the artist’s documented profile being regional rather than Riviera-based.
