First printing of the poster announcing Robert Indiana’s third solo exhibition at the Stable Gallery, New York, in May 1966 – the show at which the LOVE paintings were first publicly exhibited, and the earliest screenprint of the LOVE motif. A later edition was issued by Poster Originals, Ltd. in 1971 and is inscribed accordingly at lower right; the present impression is the 1966 first edition.
