Description: A hard-edge colour composition in red and blue, created specially for the landmark Stedelijk Museum portfolio designed by Wim Crouwel and printed by Total Design, Amsterdam. Ellsworth Kelly was a leading American painter, sculptor and printmaker associated with hard-edge painting, Color Field painting and minimalism; this is the second screenprint of his career. The portfolio gathered original screenprints by Kelly, Bonies, Pfahler and Turnbull alongside a survey of contemporary abstraction (Albers, Newman, Stella, Judd, Vasarely, Noland and others).
