Plate from L’Estampe Moderne, the celebrated subscription series published monthly in Paris from May 1897 to April 1899 by Ch. Masson and H. Piazza and printed by Imprimerie Champenois, each issue offering four original lithographs commissioned especially for the publication, complete with a captioned tissue guard. One of the most sought-after plates of the series and a signature image of de Feure’s Symbolist Art Nouveau — red-haired woman, greyhound, sailing boat and stylised flowers — in the vein of his decorative work for Bing’s Maison de l’Art Nouveau.
