Original wrappers toned and rubbed; spine worn with splits, chipping and small losses of paper; creases and softened corners to the front cover; scattered small foxing spots and a faint stain on the front cover; interior clean, pages evenly toned; text block still holding. Unframed.
Period: first edition, 1897.
The most important contemporary publication on Mucha, issued at the height of his Paris fame during his retrospective at the Salon des Cent in 1897.
