Condition:
Very poor. Multiple folds and creases, including a horizontal central fold; tears and paper losses along the edges and at the corners, some extending into the image; water stains and foxing throughout, especially in the upper part; old repairs to the verso with reversible archival tape; pencil annotations to the verso. Sold as is, for restoration. Unframed.

One of the many posters Chéret designed for the Jardin de Paris, the open-air concert and dance garden on the Champs-Élysées run by Charles Zidler, co-founder of the Moulin Rouge. The verso carries period pencil annotations identifying the poster and referring to Zidler.
