Published by the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts, Lausanne, with the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire, Geneva, the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire, Fribourg, and the Kunstmuseum, St Gallen, in an edition of 200 numbered copies.

Born in Geneva and trained first as a mechanic, Baier heard Fernand Léger lecture on architectural polychromy in 1951 and took up painting in that direction. He worked close to Zurich concrete art in the line of Max Bill, and produced numerous works integrated into architecture in Geneva, Zurich, St Gallen and Brasilia.
