Published by the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts, Lausanne, with the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire, Geneva, the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire, Fribourg, and the Kunstmuseum, St Gallen, in an edition of 200 numbered copies.
A founding member of Equipo 57 in 1957, Duarte settled in Sion in 1961 and founded the Groupe Y there in 1967 with Walter Fischer and Robert Tanner. A dense field of ruled lines generates curved volumes purely by variation of spacing and direction — the most strictly optical sheet in the portfolio.
