Condition: Very good. Sheet clean, colours fresh and saturated. Unsigned and unnumbered, as issued; centrefold as issued; text printed on the back as issued. Unframed.

Broad gestural planes of rose, brick red, grey-blue and black interlock across the double page, two hanging loop forms anchoring the centre and right against a dark green band at left. The loose interlocking pools of colour are the signature language of van Velde’s late lithography; the plate appeared posthumously, the painter having died in December 1981, months after Aimé Maeght. Published in the final, memorial issue of Derrière le Miroir.
