Plate from the portfolio Hommage à Arthur Köpcke, published in 1979 by Den Danske Radeerforening af 1853, Copenhagen, in memory of the Fluxus pioneer Arthur “Addi” Köpcke (1928–1977); copies are held by Harvard Art Museums, mumok Vienna and The Broad, Los Angeles. Vostell, pioneer of the happening in Europe, of décollage and of video art, proclaims here that “the Fluxists are the falcons of art history” — a combative epitaph worthy of the movement.
