Description: A hard-edge geometric composition created specially for the landmark Stedelijk Museum portfolio designed by Wim Crouwel and printed by Total Design, Amsterdam. Bob Bonies is the leading Dutch representative of concrete art, whose monochrome planes of pure colour and elementary shapes have defined the look of geometric abstraction in the Netherlands since the 1960s; his participation in “Vormen van de kleur”, alongside the international avant-garde, marked his decisive breakthrough. The portfolio gathered original screenprints by Kelly, Bonies, Pfahler and Turnbull alongside a survey of contemporary abstraction (Albers, Newman, Stella, Judd, Vasarely, Noland and others).
