Plate from the portfolio Hommage à Arthur Köpcke, published in 1979 by Den Danske Radeerforening af 1853, Copenhagen, in memory of the Fluxus pioneer Arthur « Addi » Köpcke (1928–1977); copies are held by Harvard Art Museums, mumok Vienna and The Broad, Los Angeles — this Kirkeby plate is itself in the Harvard collection. Kirkeby, Denmark’s foremost painter of the late twentieth century, began his career in the Fluxus circle around Köpcke before achieving international stature; his is the only intaglio-based plate of the portfolio.

Kirkeby, plus grand peintre danois de la fin du vingtième siècle, débuta sa carrière dans le cercle fluxus autour de Köpcke avant d’atteindre une envergure internationale ; sa planche est la seule en taille-douce de tout le portfolio.
