A village of tiny pinnacled houses rings a burning orange core and hangs above its own darker reflection, set against a deep blue night and a granular blue-green sea speckled with white, with fish, a red fish-form and a single sail below. The colour is built from superimposed plates, the sea worked in spattered ground, the architecture drawn in fine line over the aquatint.
