Condition: Good. Impression clean, plate mark crisp. A few small stains in the margins and handling creases at the margin extremities; image area unaffected. Unframed.

A seated female nude, seen frontally with legs open, is enveloped by the arms of an octopus whose head rises above her against a graded black cloud; a low rocky shore closes the foot of the plate. The whole is carried by an unbroken drypoint contour, the aquatint reserved for the single dark mass at the top. The octopus-and-nude motif belongs to the aquatic bestiary Trémois developed from the early 1970s.
